Coimbatore, India – In a heart-wrenching turn of events, Reena, disciple in Coimbatore church, a dedicated healthcare worker, met with a devastating accident on May 29th 2024 at 8:30 PM while on her way to visit her husband, Karthik, who was hospitalized for kidney stone treatment. The collision with a car left Reena unconscious for two critical days. Reena's condition was staring at a dangerous side on the same night.
The situation seemed dire. Reena was admitted to PSG Hospitals in Coimbatore and required intensive care. As news of the accident spread, the church community rallied around her, Continuous prayers were offered for Reena’s recovery during those agonizing 48 hours by every one of her friends. A miracle unfolded as Reena began to show signs of life, breathing with the aid of a ventilator after coming out of anesthesia.
Reena's recovery was a long and arduous journey. She spent nearly 20 days in the ICU, followed by a stay in the special ward for further treatment. Disciples from the Coimbatore church visited her daily, offering prayers and encouragement to the whole family.

Meanwhile, Karthik, who had been undergoing treatment for his kidney stone, found himself in a difficult position. The pain from his condition was unbearable, but he managed to persevere with the support of the church members. Disciples provided daily meals for Karthik, ensuring he was well-nourished. Many church members took leave from work to stay with Reena during the day, while others provided night-time support.Thanks to intense treatment, Reena's condition gradually improved. However, the medical expenses were substantial, reaching approximately 12 lakhs. Insurance covered half of the cost, but the remaining amount was a significant burden. The generous support of Karthik's friends and through the collective efforts of family, and church members contributed to the expenses and ensuring that Reena received the necessary care.
On July 28th, a momentous occasion arrived as Reena, accompanied by her husband and son Jotham, returned to church. The congregation was filled with joy, gratitude, and renewed faith as they witnessed the remarkable transformation. This inspiring testimony serves as a powerful reminder of the strength of human spirit, an incredible power of prayer, and the profound impact of church support.
Karthik, overwhelmed with gratitude, expressed his heartfelt thanks to God and the church for their unconditional support and prayers. This extraordinary journey of faith and resilience has left an amazing mark on the lives of everyone involved, serving as a beacon of hope for the Church.

Reena needs our continuous prayer since she is taking many more months to recover. She slowly walks and taking physiotherapy treatment regularly for her face nerves to be stimulated for more active reactions. Karthik helps her at home 24/7 with work from home option for a limited months.
